
Join the Drowned Hogs and Chill Out for a Great Cause!
HULL, MA- For the 17th year in a row, the icy month of January ends when the Drowned Hogs storm Nantasket Beach with their annual mad dash into the Atlantic. At noon, on Saturday, January 28, 2012, hundreds of hardy nutcases committed to doing something cool and crazy for a cause—Wellspring Multi-Service Center—will predict the arrival of spring in their own special way. Anyone can join, but there are a few rules:
· The swim doesn’t count unless the swimmer fully dunks.
· Wet suits are allowed ONLY if the wearer also wears a tutu and a tiara!
All individuals, groups or families with warm hearts willing to do something cool for charity are welcome to join the craziness. High school teams, college groups, running clubs, multi-generational families, sports teams, book clubs and hipsters have all become regular participants. Registration fee is $10. and includes T Shirt.
Following the high-noon, polar plunge, survivors and onlookers are all invited to warm up at the Drowned Hog Soup and Chowder Fest at the Nantasket Beach Resort presenting scrumptious offerings from dozens of local restaurants including Jakes, Barefoot Bob's, Schooner's, The Red Parrot, Paragon Grille, Daddy's Beach Club, Johnny G’s, Nantasket Shores, and Lobster Express. Tickets are $10.—all proceeds will benefit Wellspring’s food pantry.

Wellspring Celebrates Students in Adult Learning Program's Class of 2011
Thursday, June 23rd, Wellspring’s Adult Learning Program faculty, students and their families gathered at the Red Parrot in Hull for the annual Adult Learning Program Achievement Celebration. During the program, students were all individually introduced and recognized. Three special awards: The Janna Oddleifson Award, The Christine Merola Award and The Board of Directors Award were presented. After the ceremony students, teachers and family members enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner and the chance celebrate their accomplishments!
